to tired to type, but...
the royal tyrell museum - one of the most famous & extensive dinosaur museums in the world, and it's a mere 3.5 hours away. and since you can't read the little sign, meg is touching an actual, real mastadon tusk...
That is so cool! I mean...If you actually believe dinosaurs existed. A ginormous skull all in one piece doesnt prove anything. I know about plaster of paris. What's next? The Santa Claus museum? The holocaust museum? Too far? Sorry...
Yay what fun!!! Sarah, sarah...you are too funny!! The way I explain dinos to my questioning daughter is chronos vs. kairos time...and His ways are greater than my ways so who am I to say to him who formed me that He did not make it. "I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish." Isa 29:14. What is impossible with men is possible with God. Luke 18:29 :0)
We talk about dinosaurs in my third grade class as something that we as humans couldn't possibly understand in part of God's plan and how all living things are created by God. And then we go on to talk about creationism. With third graders. It gets complicated fast. I'm going to see if I can skip that unit this year. Because frankly, it makes my brain tired. ;-)
Wow. I had no idea my smart-@$$-ery would be followed by such deep thoughts. As for my deep thought, I just noted the dino in the bottom picture is having its nose picked. Heh heh...
the way i see it, God created the world. whether the creation story is literal or narrative is irrelevant, because He did it either way. :) that's enough for me.
btw - sarah - your comment made me laugh out loud! smart ass-ery is welcome here on the porch! :)
Hey Rae. Your blog is not too interesting these days...old stuff ...smile. I am holding fast ... maybe I should go visit a fossil and avoid real live people for a while. SMILE me
