i hate middle school

i hate that kyra falls asleep with tears on her lashes. i hate the overly bright eyes and wobbling smile when i drop her off. i hate that kids tease her for wanting to recycle. i hate that she feels overwhelmed with her scary law class. i hate that anyone would look at her and not see the beautiful spirit she has, her incredible passion and joyful heart, and love them and her. i hate that. and i hate that i can't rescue her from it. i hate that most of all.

If only she could see the cloud of witnesses, here on earth and in the heavenlies, smiling, cheering her on and wishing her courage and strength to continue to be the amazing girl she is...I know it doesn't lessen the pain, but it is encouraging.

You tell her, there are more people for her than she may realize! You probably already do. :0)

If God is for us, who can be against us.

okay - so now i want to cry. i am used to life being hard for me but i hate it that she has to grow into this world now - her heart is so pure. god protect her!

there is nothing quite as painful as sending your beautiful, smart, funny daughter into an unfriendly world that doesn't appreciate her awesomeness.

Exactly why I could never teach middle school...most kids are real brats at that age. I have tears just thinking about it. You will all survive and because she has good parents and God she'll be stronger because of it.

I teach middle school, and I love kids that age, but they can really be tough. I am fortunate to work in a school that has a lot of students like Kyra. Your post makes me want to bring her to work with me where I can keep and eye on her and introduce her to other great kids I know who share her passions.

Middle school was horrible for me, but know that she can get through it. I used to wear Christian t-shirts and get teased all the time, but I stayed strong because I had great parents. I'm sure she will have bad times, but she will have a great mom to come home to to make her feel better!

I shed more combined tears in middle school than all other times of life combined. In middle school, my personality made me an easy target. In high school, it made me super cool! Hang in there, girl!
