memory lane

this is the alley behind my old house where i rode my bike, first got flashed by a 10 yr old boy, caught fuzzy caterpillars and played indians with my friends...we even had full headdresses of magpie & bluejay feathers. ahhhh - those were the days. out in the morning, back for supper - lunch wherever we landed in between. mom didn't have to worry about not seeing me all day, because small prairie towns were safe, and neighbors kept an eye out.

this is the house of my childhood - 19 glory hills road. of course, my parents never put a fridge on the front porch, or used a sheet for a curtian...and mom did her standard lovely yard puttering... i remember it much bigger, of course, and the street much longer, but this is where i used to live. it was even the same color.

Ahhh the salad days!!! I remember thinking my childhood home was so big until I went to visit it 9 yrs ago and was amazed at how small it was!!

Enjoy yourself :0)

You shouldn't be ashamed that your family was without a porch-fridge. Granted, I have no idea where you got your kool-aid when you were banned from the house, but not every family can have those luxuries, and you shouldn't think less of yourself for it....

Haha the girls have that "hurry up and take the picture the sun is in my eyes" look! Gotta love the trim colors on houses!

I am agreeing with Sarah - we were so POOR we didn't have a fridge on the front porch - alas!!! and what is wrong with sheets for curtains? ... what did The Girls think of it? I used to think it was heaven - we were blissfully happy there, all of us. Me
